- donmcronald 3y agoICANN bending the knee to registry owners doesn’t help. On a whim, discretionary banning shouldn’t be a thing. At the very least I should be able to pre-pay for some type of guaranteed, impartial arbitration before my domain gets banned.
- ipaddr 3y agoI'm shocked people purchase services from bigtech companies. I understand advertising works but would you buy a service from a local company who is known to damage your property and gives you no way to contact them when they screwup. People keep doing it with bigtech. People buy Oracle or IBM for similiar reasons and outcomes.
- lijok 3y agoAWS has absolutely superb customer service. Cloudflare is also great, but their policies are shody
- justinclift 3y agoEasyDNS (easydns.com). They're not cheap, but they don't even roll over automatically in response to legal threats which is good for piece of mind, just in case. :)
- hughesjj 3y agoNamecheap and aws
- highclass 3y agoNamecheap is horrible regarding legal threats and how they manage them. In my experience, they threaten to shutdown domains with 24 hours notice if you do not respond to legal threats. Although I avoided being shutdown, I almost didn't respond to such an email thinking the email from Namcecheap was spam. I highly recommend avoiding Namecheap for business. Currently I migrated to Gandi with no problem.
- thegrim33 3y agoI'd advise against Namecheap (as a former many year customer) as they decided a while back to start taking a political stance as a business; they terminated existing customers, with no notice, because they disagreed with political actions of the customer's home country. Whatever country you live in could so something in the future they don't like and they'll just drop you, can't rely on them to act as a business.

Can you provide any concrete evidence that supports your personal assertion?
