Show HN: Impel – an always-on, prompt-free AI companion for your Mac
- ApolloRising 3y agoHave you made any progress on this or is this just a landing page test?
- holografix 3y agoNice MVP website, very polished. Looking forward to the first demo video!
- deafpolygon 3y agoBit too close to `Incel`.
- euroderf 3y agoComing soon after, the companion phone app Compel.
- turnsout 3y agoIs this a local model that’s going to destroy my battery life, or a cloud model that’s going to steal all my data? Kidding… sort of.
- mdrzn 3y agoIt's not really a "Show HN" when it's only a landing page for a waiting list.
- hidelooktropic 3y ago"Private Stuff Stays Private impel is unable to scan for private windows, excluded apps, and sensitive information by default. It also relies on low level APIs to never capture confidential information." Who says what is/is not confidential information. Does your tool make that judgment or the user?
- alexcdot 3y agoReally like the product vision here, excited to try it out!
- jondwillis 3y agoIs this real yet or is it a landing page trying to gauge interest? There aren’t any screenshots. What model(s) are used for local processing?
- CharlesW 3y agoFYI to HN readers, all visitors can do is share their email to get on a waitlist for what seems like a hypothetical product.
