I don’t think that’s true. Life is genuinely difficult when there are no connections or influences. A lot of entrepreneurs I have met come from families where there are other entrepreneurs and highly qualified people like lawyers and doctors. I don’t think I’ve met a single entrepreneur (and btw I’m talking tech) who didn’t have some sort of familial backing. “I had a F&F round where I raised 300k” “My cousin (lawyer) helped me set up the legal entity” “Everyone in my family is a business owner” Most people don’t have these factors around them. Imo.
