- pstuart 3y agoEmployers aren't printing up more money. Yes, labor costs going up impact profits but what about labor costs of management? That has gone up significantly: "From 1978 to 2021, CEO pay based on realized compensation grew by 1,460%, far outstripping S&P stock market growth (1,063%) and top 0.1% earnings growth (which was 385% between 1978 and 2020, according to the latest data available).
