- PaulHoule 3y agoYes and no. The cuprate superconductors were verified right away but didn’t perform well enough in practice to be world changing. If the new ones are real but have a low critical current density, for instance, they’ll matter very little. If the new ones are real but can’t have very small structures fabricated out of them they won’t be good for logic gates.
