I guess it depends on what you mean by citizen-only and successful. How about Bolshevik? Or Cuba? Or Vietnam? Or China? If you consider the French Revolution successful (that didn’t work out so well) then I guess you can say the Sudan revolution was successful as we now have South Sudan. Or Libya was successful as Qaddafi is still dead.
