I'd be happy if we kept the amount of tax raised to the same £ (here in the UK) - but by actually properly taxing the rich, that could then move more people out of income taxation (they would still pay all the other taxes that we pay in here in the UK). This would mean the poorest get to increase their take home pay, without increasing wages.
