I'm 45 (i.e not a Millennial) and I've turned subtitles on when possible for many ywars because I dislike having to go back and rewatch repeatedly when dialogue is ambiguous. It's not hard to pay attention to both aspects of a film. Does the author of the article insist on watching dubbed versions of foreign-language films instead of subtitles?
