Achieving 60% yield on the first GAAFET node in the entire industry is a pretty big accomplishment for Samsung.
- brucethemoose2 3y agoTSMC was "conservative" transitioning to finfet and such, and this caution served them well. But maybe the particular decision to wait on gaafet is biting them in the butt.
- ksec 3y agoYield % in Samsung and TSMC are pointing to different things. And knowing Samsung and TSMC, the first may have overstated while the latter may give you a conservative number.
