- BrianHenryIE 3y agoExactly. The court assigned a punishment based on the crime. The entire point of separating legislating/policing/judicial is to keep things as objective as possible. The suggestion that someone deserves a punishment they weren't assigned is abhorrent. It's not far off excusing police beatings.
