"A Wisconsin doctor in 2021 prescribed ivermectin, typically used to treat parasitic infections, to two covid-19 patients who later died of the disease"
This article doesn't even make sense. Why would you prescribe the Covid Vaccine, which is something that is meant to prevent it, to someone who already has Covid?
This article is filled with stories about people that already had covid and were prescribed ivermectin. The vaccine would not have helped in any of these situations. This is like telling someone to take cold medicine. Sure it's not going to cure Covid, but it might help with some of the symptoms. Doctors shouldn't be fined or disbarred in this situation.
Remdesivir (https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/final-report-confirms-remdesivir-benefits-covid-19 https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/final-r...) is one the only effective ways to shorten the length of Covid once you have it. Government officials that got it were given this.
When Biden got into office and he found out Ron Desantis was using this in Florida and he ordered shipments were to be halted and distributed elsewhere. Jail time for Biden?
The other thing not mentioned in this article is the vast majority of people that died from Covid were over 65 or had pre-existing diseases. Remdesivir should have been distributed based on the concentration of the elderly.
"doctors who went against medical consensus and prescribed unapproved treatments for covid or misled patients about vaccines and masks"
The cloth masks that 99.9% of the people I saw wearing were < 10% effective. However, governments around the country were telling us to wear them. Should they be fined or fired?
How about we mention the governors that killed the elderly (the group most effected by Covid) by putting patients in retirement homes?
Doctors don't practice medicine by "consensus". They should be able to use their best judgement...even if it means they were wrong.
"Health authorities caution that these treatments, which President Donald Trump"
I see the point of the article now. A political hit piece to shit on Trump and Republicans. I stopped reading here.
What's not being told here is that when Trump mentioned hydroxychloroquine during the beginning of the pandemic, it's because the Chinese government was using it in an attempt to treat Covid. We know now that it doesn't work, and so does Trump as he was running the country when the vaccine was fast-tracked and administered to many thousands of people per day before Biden got into office. You can't re-write history.
What about the governments that now won't let you sue the vaccine manufacturers for injury? How about the companies themselves that lied about the effectiveness of the vaccine and how much it was actually tested before we were essentially forced to take it? We were all their test subjects.
How about the social media companies that actively censored first-hand accounts of vaccine injuries and bad side-effects?
I recall Biden telling us that if you got the vaccine you couldn't get Covid or spread it. Both lies and misinformation.
The vaccines never really stopped covid. Herd immunity did. Everyone in my family and all my friends (including me and my family) all got Covid after we were vaccinated with more than one shot.
When the next pandemic happens, I certainly won't be believing anything those in power are telling me or forcing me to take. Petty Dictators and Censorship don't do well to gain trust.
- cheaprentalyeti 3y agoIt wasn't Remdesivir that they were limiting the distribution of. It was Regeneron. They gave Trump both but then only distributed Remdesivir, which has a much worse safety profile than (for instance) ivermectin. My sister got Remdesivir, which the bureaucrats swore worked, and died. It damages renal function badly.
- cheaprentalyeti 3y agoAlso, I think if you'll look at the numbers you'll find most of the casualties from Fall 2020 onward got Remdesivir. It was the "standard of care."
