Ask HN: Would you give a last chance to apps that are close to death?

Thanks to forums like HackerNews projects/apps get a lot of attention but unfortunately it disappears right after launch day. Most developers give up on their apps/projects after a month or so thinking its good for nothing. What do you think about giving those projects/apps one last chance?
