Ask HN: Why do most people prefer to be anonymous on Hacker News?
A recent conversation sparked my interest in knowing more about the pros of being anonymous, and the potential risks of not.

- MattGaiser 3y agoI think it depends on what you want from the platform. I like the real world contacts this platform can generate. On the other hand, I must avoid touching hot button topics because some of them, no matter what stance you do take, essentially ruin your ability to interact with large swaths of the population or with employers.
