Heh, idle power efficiency is out the window here. These are desktop chips stuffed into 16" laptops. They are basically for plugged in use with a UPS in between outlets. That being said, 3D cache on, say, Phoenix silicon would be really cool. The IGP desperately needs it, and the stacked cache might save power since the energy/bit is still lower than RAM.
