Elon Musk seizes X account from guy who owned it
- razodactyl 3y agoConsidering the history and the era of digital identity we find ourselves in. I'm not sure this is wholly appropriate to just expect from a platform?
- wilg 3y agoThis seems like one of the Elon fluff stories. Twitter/X offers a new handle and some swag because they’re changing their name and now want the corresponding handle. They obviously own the namespace, and handles get swapped or banned and changed and whatnot all the time. It’s always been against the TOS to sell them, I think. The only complaint seems to be what, they didn’t offer money? But it’s all dressed up in punchy language to get you to tut-tut Elon and click to make yourself angry and reinforce your beliefs.
- euroderf 3y agoSo, when do they offer some money ?
- jshen 3y agoHey, don’t know if you remember our debate. You said climate change was going away, I said it would get worse. I think I was right. xoxo
- wilg 3y agoBaffling that could have been your takeaway! Clearly we shouldn’t be having discussions because we aren’t able to understand each other. Let’s please no longer interact. HN should allow blocking!
- jshen 3y agoYou said temperatures had plateaued and would not increase. I said they would and only seemed to plateau due to El Niño/la Nina cycles. I was right.
- wilg 3y agoI did not.
- jshen 3y agoYou said, “I mean you can see it plateauing in that data. Feels good to me!” Are you feeling good about it today?

- wilg 3y agoWas I referring to temperatures? Is plateauing past tense?
- jshen 3y agoYou said that we are on the right track and that you felt good about it. Don’t try to muddy the waters. Do you still believe we are on the right track?
- wilg 3y agoI will not continue this discussion unless you answer my two questions with yes or no.
- jshen 3y agoIt's clear you won't state your position clearly. It's really simple, do you believe as you said that things are good and that we are on the right track? You said that, then you muddy the water when pressed on it. What do you believe?
