Ask HN: Screen recording software with real-time zooming?
I'm looking for a screen recording software for Windows that supports real-time zooming in and out of certain areas of the screen during recording. The purpose is record product demos and zoom in on certain features during the demo. So far the only solution I've found is for MacOS https://screen.studio

- cloudking 3y agoGood suggestion, unfortunately that zooms the entire screen including the recording software so it's not exactly usable for the types of recordings I want to do. Ideally I want to zoom in on just part of the active window.
- trafnar 3y agoWhat do you mean by real-time? Do you want your screen to zoom while you are recording? Or do you mean that you want the zooming to happen automatically?
- cloudking 3y agoI want to ideally press a hotkey and have the recording zoom into the area of the screen I'm interacting with the mouse, then hotkey to zoom back out to see the full application.
- pjot 3y agoOften these tools live somewhere under Accessibility settings - at least for macOS that is.
