Yes I hear what you're saying. I guess the real problem is we've been trying the 'slow and steady' approach for the past 50 years or so, and still we're facing a 2 degree future. And things are definitely getting worse. Much worse. So do we continue trying something which clearly doesn't work - your 'practical' things - or accelerate the pace somehow? I don't have answers, but clearly something is not working right now.
