Why Oppenheimer has important lessons for scientists today
- pierat 3y agoIf you're a scientist who works for government, toe the party line. Else you'll get your clearances yanked and you'll be out of a job! And secondarily, war hawks rule the roost. You cater to making weapons and tools to make weapons, even indirectly. Get comfortable with that, or go work in the private sector, where you harm the american public with weaponized science like DRM and adtech.
