This is true for the US but I there are good functional recycling concepts that work in Europe and probably even in some places in the US. What I would like to see is a limit on which plastics can be used in packaging which is destined for trash incinerating so that no additives are present that are difficult to filter. Most trash here where I live is incinerated to produce electricity and heat for the surrounding building.
