Depending on the source it looks to be somewhere in the low single digit percentage as part of the population of men who will commit a crime, much less repeating violent crimes. We train women to be scared because fear sells not because they're actually at risk of strangers attacking them.
I always have doubts about male victim numbers being used for anything. We know for a fact that men will not report things like that at near the same rate that women will and women don't report all that they should, either.
- falcolas 3y agoYes, I’m sure the fear is wholly imagined, and not a product of them or their friends being raped or sexually assaulted. Respectfully, talk to more women. It will change your perspective.
- deprecative 3y agoI talk to plenty of women. Women are attacked and assaulted by those they know. The actual risk of a stranger doing anything is minimal at best. We teach girls to be scared so they are. Just like we teach boys to be disposable so we are.
- falcolas 3y ago"Since it's mostly men they know who assault them, they have no reason to fear strangers." That's some badly tortured logic to place the blame back on women. Anyways. Have a day.
- deprecative 3y agoThat's not what I said. Since you're going to engage in bad faith we'll end here. As you say, have a nice day.
