Author should do the same trip by train now. Seems like more people are taking advantage of the long distance Amtrak trains and thankfully there's been funding to keep those around.
- bombcar 3y agoLong distance trains are much more expensive and you get a very different clientele - retirees, those unable to fly due to medical reasons, fear, etc, and random train nuts. The conductors also don’t have any truck with disruptive behavior.
