Google is trialing tiled search results on mobile. You can’t turn them off
- Modified3019 3y agoI’m not clear if it’s a mobile only thing yet, but if you’re wondering what’s wrong with the search results page, this is it. Edit: example image of a search trying to see if someone archived Intel’s ssd Ark pages before they were purged, a short scroll from the ads at the top: https://imgur.com/a/v6G0l5K https://imgur.com/a/v6G0l5K As mentioned, you can’t turn it off, so your solutions are: 1) Stop using google (recommended) 2) Find addons that can alter the page for you.
- robswc 3y agoI know google is king of bad UI/UX but this is almost comical. Utterly unusable.
- mydriasis 3y agoIt's fully unusable, and super frustrating.
- s09dfhks 3y agoSeems like they want to push the entirety of the web into using “clickbait YouTube thumbnails”
- iamevn 3y agoFor some reason Firefox Android often freezes when interacting with tiles in Google search results (especially bad with image searches). It's really annoying.
- DropInIn 3y agoSo, google really wants me to start using the "Bing search" context menu item Samsung foisted on me with my s22, huh?
