New Nitrogen malware pushed via Google Ads for ransomware attacks

- WirelessGigabit 3y agoIt's funny (in a sad way) to read this today in the same 5 minutes I am reading about Google's DRM of the web. Half of the reason I run adblockers everywhere is to avoid stuff like this. Google doesn't take responsibility for this if they deliver an ad that exploits a zero day on my system and ends up costing me money. So I take responsibility by blocking them. They're not keeping user data secure... Which is mentioned in their take-over-the-web document: https://github.com/RupertBenWiser/Web-Environment-Integrity/blame/7998217b3d7334a71c26c52aeeadc1c6b1ba1dc4/explainer.md#L44-L46 https://github.com/RupertBenWiser/Web-Environment-Integrity/... If they can't do it now, how are they going to do it with WIE?
