Re "Do you know other jobs that can be done remotely and where non-native English speakers aren’t at such a big disadvantage?", design also comes to mind, but software engineering seems to be the absolute best.
- WajihaNiazi 3y agoThank you. Design is very broad, what specialization do you think works best for non native speakers? Asking because Code to Inspire also proposes design courses now.
- 5mv2 3y agoAnything that's more technical and doesn't require much communication, so the further away from graphic design the better. UX is probably tricky too because it often takes a lot of team work and interactions with product. Maybe UI / component design? Let me ask a designer friend and shares the results by email.
- WajihaNiazi 3y agoAbsolutely, UI/component design could be a great fit! It tends to be more technical and less reliant on extensive communication or team interactions compared to UX design. Your designer friend's input will be valuable, and I look forward to hearing the results via email. Thanks for exploring the possibilities!
