I only type 65 WPM and use long variable names, yet I usually don't bother using autocompletion. I feel thinking about possible word clashes and the resulting background process of continually estimating the optimal prefix so that I type enough letters to get the correct completion yet not too much to waste effort is slower and more distracting than just typing it out. As I see it, autocompletion is just an aid for when you don't remember the exact name of something.
