North American Indian cultures seem to have somewhat avoided this mindset. At least from what I’ve read written in the last couple hundred years.
- goatlover 3y agoOne reason for that might be that the large ice sheets in North America delayed migration to much of the continent, meaning less time for civilizations north of Mexico to develop. But there were some irrigation projects, farming, and clear cutting.
