Is people not caring about climate change (In North America and Europe specifically) because it will not really effect them in a major way (compared to poorer countries, or people is SE Asia) just humans acting like humans, and to get them to care is asking humans to not act like humans?
- tomohelix 3y agoThat is my personal belief, yes. A lot of the denier I talked to basically failed to see how climate change is real and even if it is real, what is the harm to them. They don't see the problem and so they don't want to act. That is the root of the issue. It is hard to tell someone there would be a food shortage if that person spent only 1% of their income on meals and restaurants and still have a higher standard of living than most people. There are plenty of rooms for them to adjust and they genuinely do not see a problem.
