Spotify raises prices for ad-free subscribers

  Radical suggestion: instead of upping the prices for everyone to catch those rich whales who will pay 100x more for a product without even thinking about it... how about: everyone's wealth is open to see on a public database and everyine pays the same negligible percentage of their income?

    Of course, the best reason to dedicate less time to work, learn and effort. They tried in URSS, didn't work, but hey maybe the next time... As humans we still don't learn.

      Not entirely sure what your comment objects to, but Nordic countries already have this information freely present and its a good way for them to write meaningful speeding tickets that impact poor and rich alike. Why not a subscription model tied to the same banding model?

  I need to know more about the psychological phenomenon where humans believe music streaming and movie streaming are worth so much yet almost every other app should be free. Why is that. Why is entertainment worth paying for but useful, valuable, even privacy/security focussed tools are not.
