"further entrench car culture"
you do realize that most of the world doesnt live in cities, and therefore has has to own a car ... right?
- cornercasechase 3y ago> you do realize that most of the world doesnt live in cities, and therefore has has to own a car You do realize that most of the people in the world do not own cars and it would be an ecological disaster if they transitioned to owning them.
- Timon3 3y ago> you do realize that most of the world doesnt live in cities, and therefore has has to own a car ... right? You do realise that, literally, most of the world lives in cities? "Mid-2023 approximately 4.6 of the more than 8 billion people worldwide lived in towns or cities. This represents 57% of the global population. By 2030 this figure is set to reach 60%." https://www.destatis.de/EN/Themes/Countries-Regions/International-Statistics/Data-Topic/Population-Labour-Social-Issues/DemographyMigration/UrbanPopulation.html#:~:text=International%20statistics%20The%20largest%20cities%20worldwide%202023&text=Mid%2D2023%20approximately%204.6%20of,is%20set%20to%20reach%2060%25 https://www.destatis.de/EN/Themes/Countries-Regions/Internat....
- misiti3780 3y agoOK fine, i knew it was around that number, but it's still 40% which is billions of people. you get my point.
- Timon3 3y agoThen what is your issue with GPs statement? We have a car culture in many places where it isn't necessary. As I've shown, more and more people will move to cities. Why is it good to further entrench car culture?
