The fine article states that simply turning off SMT doesn't help with this particular exploit.
- zamadatix 3y agoIn the context of this conversation, SMT on/off is relevant to what scope of the vulnerability has with VMs beyond the claim in the article that the issue is in some way present inside VMs.
