Is there actual proof he inherited the money?

  He said that there's no proof the mine ever existed. He also said that his parents' wealth didn't help him that much. Which is why he also never bothered much about the mine. I'm going on memory here, from what I read/heard online. I think people just want to write him off, tbh.
