In 1979 the original DTP vaccine was introduced in the US. It was discovered to be extremely dangerous killing or causing severe brain damage to 1 in 300 children. As a result it was pulled from the market in the US and Europe. However, Bill Gates foundation still gives it to 160 million African and South Asian children each year. Gates went to the Danish government asking for funding for the program. The Danish government asked for data but Gates had none so the Danish government did their own study. They looked at 30 years of data. What they found was that the vaccines did reduce the incidence of the three diseases it was designed to prevent. However it also increased all cause mortality exclusively among the vaccinated by 10x. This was unexpected and is one of the primary reasons that double-blind long-term placebo-controlled clinical trials are so important.
