Automate Your Static Blogroll
- ajot 3y agoNice solution! It reminds me a bit of Drew Devault's openring [0], as a modern implementation of old-school blog features. [0] https://git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/openring https://git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/openring
- alexmolas 3y agoI didn't know about openring, but after a quick glance it looks very cool, thanks for sharing! I've been trying to simplify a lot my blog, following old-school philosophy of DIY, without requiring a lot of the modern web development stack. Just some html templateS and some markdown files.
- dflock 3y agoThis is my version of this idea: https://duncanlock.net/blog/2022/11/22/automatically-publishing-a-blogroll-from-an-opml-file/ https://duncanlock.net/blog/2022/11/22/automatically-publish... I run miniflux locally as an RSS aggregator, which I query with a little script, export the feed list and turn it into asciidoc to be published as a page on my blog. All automatic, I just follow feeds in miniflux as normal and it gets published.
