Martin Luther might not have nailed his 95 Theses to the church door (2018)
- NoZebra120vClip 3y ago> In the theses, Luther condemned the church’s selling of “indulgences,” which was based on the the idea that people could buy forgiveness for their sins. Well, no, it wasn't; that's not what indulgences do, money or no money. Of course, Protestantism didn't merely abolish indulgences, it abolished the belief in Purgatory (temporal punishment for sins), which would completely obviate the need for indulgences in the first place. Well played!
