Is it possible for third-party browser apps to integrate with content blockers for Safari, or would you have to integrate your own content blocker into your app?
- nckh 3y agoUnfortunately this is not possible. Unless Apple opens that up, it's up to each app to embed its own content blocker.
- simbolit 3y agoThe blocklists used by uBlock origin are freely available: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/tree/master/filters https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/tree/master/filters
- nckh 3y agoThanks! I have to review whether they can be easily converted to WebKit's JSON-based content blocker format. But I suppose DuckDuckGo blockers can also be used as-is.
