I made a couple of attempts since last posting to this thread and they jumped sufficiently diagonally to escape the clap, but I did come close at least once so

I made a couple of attempts since last posting to this thread and they jumped sufficiently diagonally to escape the clap, but I did come close at least once so I intend to keep practising and see if I can do better than close.
