I started a project using LangChain and quickly realized it wasn't actually doing a whole lot. There are threads you can find on here and on Reddit where people call it utterly useless. I think that may be hyperbolic; at the very least it helps one build a mental model and understanding of how to build these kinds of apps, and it can provide some shortcuts for fast development.
