I don’t know about this particularly, but it does look like some things have changed on a timescale shorter than I expected. It wasn’t too many years ago that I always heard about how Florida was a big swing state. Living here now, seeing election results and talking to people it seems closer to a red state now. Meanwhile, I grew up in Georgia which I always expected to vote solid red, and was very surprised it swing blue last presidential election.
