It looks like a Rust copy
- mertcandav 3y agoWhy did you think so?
- rice7th 3y agoBecause honestly the syntax is kinda the same and even the points are similar: performance and safety. All problems that rust already solved. Plus Rust has a HUGE ecosystem in rapid growth, and it is quickly reaching C/C++ levels. Anyways, I don't think that there's a lot wrong with it, just don't commercialize it as a literal rust copy
- mertcandav 3y agoI don't see a problem with the syntax being similar. However, if you examine Jule in more detail, you can see that it is not exactly the same, Jule has different syntax approaches and solutions. I understand the logic of using an already existing language and solving problems. But here there are problems that are solved by different approaches. Even if they have the same goals, the solution approaches are different. So, here is the alternative option for developers.
- rice7th 3y agoYes, ok, but it is too similar to Rust: that is the problem!
- mertcandav 3y agoI respect your opinion and I can understand you. The syntax may seem same but approaches are not that similar as I said. The points may look similar, it's possible. There are many languages that focus on the same points. We cannot say "this is clone" for every syntax-like and point-like language.
