Saw this in-person a few months ago, when I was switching from AT&T (because my phone wasn't compatible when they went to 5G). Guy came in and wanted to pay his bill. When he found out there's a $5 fee to pay in-person, he left in a huff saying he was going to switch to AT&T. Circle of life and so forth.
