The Biggest issue I have with Phoronix is that all the charts need to list the processors' advertised clock speeds and for the M2 SOC that's around 3.4GHZ while the x86 processors have much higher clocks that run from the base clock up to the boost clock but have some average sustained boost clock behavior on different workloads. And the x86 processors are clocked on average about 2 GHz higher there than the M2 SOC.
But this testing is more about the Linux Driver maturity on the Apple silicon hardware and no games or Blender 3D testing was done there probably because 3D acceleration support on Linux for Apple Silicon is still a work in progress. There is all sorts of Specialized Heterogeneous compute IP on the M series SOCs
and the Linux OS developers will take years more getting all that supported if they can ever get that done completely.
