Sounds like my kind of community as I'm also extremely anti-tooling. I want to feel like I'm working with native browser features as much as possible. Personally, I would even consider doing a project with plain HTMLElement. If I found that I absolutely needed the convenience of state reactivity, only then I would use Lit.
