- rawgabbit 3y agoI hope Sergei can pull it off. From what I can tell. Today, Bard is unusable.
- bushbaba 3y agoYou know it’s bad when they email you to come back
- JimtheCoder 3y agoDid they find Larry yet? Or is he still "missing"...?

- CSMastermind 3y agoI have to wonder how much he'll actually help with productivity. I doubt his main contribution would be technical so much as it would be having ultimate authority and the ability to overrule or skip the bureaucracy.
- senttoschool 3y agoThat, and I think his ability to recruit experts. It's a lot different when Brin is calling you to recruit and not some unknown Google VP.
- freedomben 3y agoWhy do you doubt his main contribution would be technical? I don't know much about him, but he definitely has the aptitude and the interest, so I would expect he could be a great contributor.
- dwrodri 3y agoSergey’s return to an active role at Google strikes me as a bittersweet omen. Sweet in the sense that he’s returning to form for the first time in a while. He’s rekindling a connection so important to the early success of Google that I think it puts a lot of hope into people’s eyes. Bitter in the sense that it feels like a parent moving in with their child who is now fully grown and just experienced a nasty divorce. The former paragraph reeks of romanticism in the rhetorical sense. A chef has no legacy if his good cooking dies with then. Why should they suddenly step in now? Why have Sundar around if you don’t trust him with the most important part of your company? Perhaps I’m oversimplifying.
- halJordan 3y agoI feel you; i think sports metaphors are tired, but it feels like when Joe Gibbs was brought back to the (then) Redskins. Let's hope this is a more successful endeavor.
- ryzvonusef 3y agoWhy? When Bill left, he just... left; good or bad, Microsoft ticked on without him, and nowadays I think it has flourished, imho. Speaks poorly for Google if its founder can't retire in peace... or maybe I am being harsh?
- white_dragon88 3y agoYour use of semicolon hurts my soul
- ryzvonusef 3y agoApologies; how may I fix it? ;p
