Seems a bit fishy to me, why does the JS version need access to files and local folders? (Testing with Deno)

- chaokunyang 3y agoTalked to fury JavaScript developer, he will check this later
- mike_hock 3y agoProbably cause they kicked it out the door so fast they didn't have time to define proper permissions? It's multi-language, including (and precisely limited to) Java/Python/C++/Golang/Javascript. The install instructions for Python, Java and JS are done. Go is "coming soon" and C++ is missing. It's easy to use. No need to learn a DSL. Just need to replicate the schema definitions in each language. As if learning a schema definition language is harder than learning a builder API. But the nice, polished website with animated graphics is done. First things first! The Github page is much more complete and looks more serious, though. Why not just stick to that at this early stage.
- chaokunyang 3y agoCurrently the Java and Python are production ready, and used widely in our business. JavaScript is still in early stage. The golang version are based on reflection still, we plan to do more optimization be fore release
- chaokunyang 3y agogithub pages are more complete, the website are static pages, not much work
- Permik 3y agoI'm not too familiar with the v8 fastcall interface, but maybe the JS version tries to link the C++ lib that the JS version uses under the hood?
