I hate air travel. It's gotten considerably worse and more expensive over just the last 10 years. I wish there were real alternatives available; I would honestly pay the same as a flight ticket for a ship to cross the Atlantic if it took less than 2 days and it meant I get to stretch my legs a little. Same for taking a train. Recently searched for Seattle to LA, it takes 30h on Amtrak compared to a 2h30m flight and it costs twice as much (I'm sure if I wanted to book the flight in advance it would've been even cheaper to fly).
