Ask HN: When will HN add ActivityPub?
I'd be very practical to be able to use it from within Lemmy or /kbin even if it'd be just read only. Posting comments from it would be even better.
The UI is almost identical already.

- CaptainFever 3y agoOnce there is an NNTP<->AP bridge, this would be beneficial to NNTP users as well. I support this.
- runjake 3y agoProbably never? But there are a number of Hacker News Mastodon bots that people have written, here's one: https://github.com/lumenwrites/mastodon-hnbot https://github.com/lumenwrites/mastodon-hnbot They could probably be adaptive for other ActivityPub formats pretty easily.
- throwawaymobule 3y agoI'd expect a third party to implement it, and it become semi-official most likely. Like the algolia searchbox on the bottom of the page. That gets me thinking, does hn have opengraph tags for link previews?
