Tech exec who trashed his body for 23 years spends $2M/yr to reverse the damage

- LinuxBender 3y agoThis is just my opinion based on what little I know of his protocols but I think he's getting ripped off. I do about half of what he does and I think most people could afford it at the risk of having to buy two or three less shiny things. Unlike him I am not publishing where I landed because it will vary by person. Each person should binge-read everything on nih.gov and binge watch a bunch of doctors, scientists and researchers on Youtube. The data is all within reach. Given how crazy accurate people get with football stats I expect people can become amateur physicians.

- dsq 3y agoWhile we may sneer at the idea of pampered tycoons pouring imemse sums into hourly fecal testing or whatever, these are actually what drive things forwards for the rest of us. After all, who would study life extension otherwise? It wouldn't be done for the sake of ordinary people (who needs us around to cause trouble after we're no longer useful), and govt bureaucrats havent the authority to do so either (unless in some covert program).
- GaryNumanVevo 3y agoBrian Johnson is an interesting case. If you've got the money, certainly the thought "can I live longer?" crosses your mind, but no one has so far committed to the lifestyle "required" to live longer. Ignoring whether anything Johnson does is actually working, he's obsessive over his self image and his ability to claim his "blood work looks like an 18 year old's" It's also interesting how he's clearly had facial plastic surgery, but is less keen to mention that amongst all the vitamin infusions and blood transfusions he's undergoing on a daily basis.
- throwa836373 3y agoI am a trans tech person who strongly suspects this person will transition based on pattern recognition of other software people I’ve known transitioning.
- aorist 3y ago> In August 2022, I started 17aE2, non feminizing estradiol (Rx), based upon male longevity evidence. My dosing protocol is 4mg wk, transdermal. Since we started, there’s been no change to serum estrogen or testosterone and no known side effects. - sdfghswe 3y agoSounds super interesting, I would love you to expand on this.
- hgsgm 3y agoIf you look at photos from recent years the changes are quite visible. Also he was Mormon for 34 years and then left the religion.
- penjelly 3y agoi dont think that's fair. Diff cultures associate different features with youthfulness and i think thats what this is. I also dont think being trans makes anyone an authority on whether other people will become trans
- 100011_100001 3y agoOh, that is interesting. I can see it.
- skulk 3y agoWell, statistically women live longer so there may be more than one angle here!
- sdfghswe 3y ago> My mind was always a rascal and doing things that were self destructive in nature (...) > he commits to about 100 protocols each day to reverse his biological age, including taking 61 pills each day, eating 70 pounds of vegetables every month, and adhering to 8:30 p.m. bedtimes. It’s costing him $2 million a year. hmmmm...
- penjelly 3y agoyeah my thoughts when reading his stuff too. Just because its based in "health" doesnt mean its healthy. Hes still unfamiliar with balance it seems
- whatscooking 3y agoNothing bad about that lifestyle as long you can mentally tolerate it. Although I don’t see what about it should cost $2 million per year
- penjelly 3y agoi disagree, but its worth noting that his main tenants seem sensible and i agree with those, its mostly around sleeping, exercising and stuff we all know. Its the 100 supplements a day periodically throughout the day which i think is untenable longterm. and again, if the guy has a history of unhealthy min/maxing his life, seems like another endeavour to do so is a mistake imo.
- DANmode 3y agoFull-time staff, including multiple private doctors(!) to secure, prepare, and then apply the stuff to your body probably makes up a large part.
- Ancalagon 3y agoIsn’t he getting daily blood transfusions from younger people?
- dsq 3y agoI want to know if this is really a thing. There is suspiciously little publicly Googleable reaserch. Does blood from a young person rejuvenate someone else and is there any bad side effect on the younger person?
- rwmj 3y agoThe BBC interviewed him a few months back: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001lh1b https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001lh1b
