Why Germany Quit Nuclear Power
- sylware 3y agoI wonder how does its green house gaz emmissions/air pollution for their energy production fare in regards of its neightbors/the world. We would need per capita and absolute, and maybe domestic/industrial, well the most honest standard metrics as possible. It is Germany, I guess we can trust their metrics. Rumors say Germany is not big enough for 100% solar/wind/hydro/geo even reducing significantly its energy needs? (because if a country can pull that off in the world... well... it's is one of those countries)
- amadeuspagel 3y agoGermany has almost twice the per capita emissions of France[1]. [1]: https://www.cleanenergywire.org/factsheets/how-germanys-and-frances-climate-policies-and-greenhouse-gas-emissions-compare https://www.cleanenergywire.org/factsheets/how-germanys-and-...
- sylware 3y agoI have a bit of german family, next to a old lignite mine which is being re-opened on massive scale. Hope they show the world that near 100% solar/hydro/wind/geo is sustainable at a very good comfort level. That's not going to happen overnight.
