Science Has a Nasty Photoshopping Problem

- chiefalchemist 3y agoI cringe - again - at the Orwellian newspeak here. This is not, by definition, science. Call it what you want but the moment you go outside the bounds of the definition you should no longer have the privilege of wearing the crown. Put another way, if your pet barked, would you call it a cat? Of course not. Subtle as it might be, if we want better behavior we need to stop awarding trophies to those who clearly don't deserve it. Else, we continue to normalize that which should not be normalized. Note: The same applies to journalists and journalism. It also applies to leaders and leadership. If you're not barking within the bounds of the definition, you are a cat. Full stop.
