What's the purpose of call centers now?
1) Solve problems that are not solvable elsewhere
2) People who won't go for easier ways of solving their problem, which I think is the majority of cases (you know, because of boomers, and why wouldn't you waste money with "dial 1 for..." menus if not because of that)
3) (not in all cases) push BS scams, etc
Call center workers are often too stressed out and the work environment is awful. Frankly I'm not sure people shouldn't want more automation here
